How to Get a Passport in the Philippines

Step1. Filled Up Passport Appointment Online. The first step to passport renewal is to register online for passport appointment. If you follow the link, it will prompt you to DFA window site. Select the “Start Individual Appointment Process” tab to start the filling of the registration form. Once you select the tab, a window with “Individual Application” form will appear. Complete all necessary information. From there on instruction is given on what to do next.

Step2. Go to DFA Office. Proceed to DFA office on the date as per the date you choose during passport appoint process. It is advisable that an applicant must be at the DFA 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. The DFA office is now located along Macapagal Avenue, it is accessible thru busses, jeepneys or taxi cab. If you decide to bring a car with you, there is pay parking located on the left side of the DFA office when facing Macapagal Avenue.

Step3. Proceed to Gate 2. Present the print out “Individual Application” form together with the schedule on gate guard to enter the building. Entrance is at Gate 2.

Step7. Proceed to Encoding Area. After payment, proceed to the encoding area. Show the payment receipt on the entrance and get a number. Wait for your number to call. There is a big screen where you can see the number that is serving and the opposite is the number of the counter where the applicant will proceed. Once you saw your number on the screen proceed to the counter number shown opposite your number for the encoding of your personal data and pictures.

Step8. Passport Delivery. After the encoding, the renewal is finish. If you want to have your passport delivered to you, on the exit, there are courier to choose from. Just pay for the delivery charge and you can have your passport delivered to you.
